Accessibility

We want this site to work for everyone who needs to use it.

What we aim for

This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA — readable contrast, working keyboard navigation, text that scales, and content that screen readers can announce sensibly.

What we have done

  • Every page can be operated by keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible.
  • A skip link at the top of each page jumps straight past the navigation.
  • Text and background colours meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio, and nothing relies on colour alone to convey meaning.
  • Text reflows without loss of content down to a 320 pixel viewport, and stays legible at 200 per cent zoom.
  • Headings follow a logical order, form fields have real labels, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than announced.
  • Animation is limited to a single fade on the home page, and is switched off entirely for anyone whose system asks to reduce motion.

Where we fall short

This site has been built against the guidelines but has not been independently audited, so we cannot claim full conformance. If you find something that does not work, we would rather hear about it than not.

Tell us about a problem

If something here prevents you from doing what you came to do, write to us through the contact page and describe the page and what happened. We will reply as quickly as we can, and while we fix the underlying problem we will give you the information you were looking for in another form.
